Dictation race is a method that employs movement, short-term memory, listening, reading and spelling abilities. This video shows how dictation race can be used with Google Docs. Each group is given a different text section and they have to type it into the computer. After that you can merge the text sections and do various work on the text (word, grammar, creative writing).

Hi mister bosoanca, how are you?
I want you for the english lesson 😀
its so bad with books and theory…
the lessons with you was beatiful..
i hope we can learn the next year with you and a nice evening.
Hi Lukas.
Firstly, it’s nice to hear that you enjoyed my English lessons. Though I have to say that we used textbooks, too, and what you call ‘theory’ (do you mean grammar, spelling, pronunciation or the like?) was also part of our lessons. What I want to say is that books are not something bad and ‘theory’ can help you structure your knowledge of the foreign language.
You can follow your personal interests by running a blog and writing regularly about things you like. You can also use Google Docs to create and manage your documents and presentations (useful functions such as spellcheck, search the web for a word).
In my next blog posts I’ll write about other interesting web-based tools and their use in language learning. So, stop by from time to time, see if you can use the tools for your learning and be creative.

Hello!
Nice blog!
I am a student from the US and your students could practice their English by visiting my blog:
http://dominiquelovestoread.edublogs.org
Dictation is fun although I have only had the chance to do it in French class (where it is called dictee). I also love languages: especially French and German.

Hi Dominique!
Nice to meet you here on my blog. I’ll definitely tell my students about your blog, and I hope they’ll start to comment on your posts. Blogging is not so popular in Germany although many students are involved in different social networks (SchülerVZ and StudiVZ as Facebook clons are the most popular here).
If you’re really interested in learning German, I can put a few activities on this blog.
